Francesco Turnu - Owner

Francesco Turnu grew up in a small village outside of Oristano, Sardinia. He was
surrounded by the culinary traditions of the island: the fishermen
of Cabras and their Bottarga, fields of grapes destined to become the prized
Vermentino and Cannonau wines and the Mediterranean Sea filled with sea bream,
mussels, octopus and delicacies such as the sea urchin, which as a child he would
catch and eat raw, fresh from the sea.
His large family and small, close-knit village instilled in him the value of
hospitality and the importance of coming together for meals.
Francesco brought these experiences with him when he came to Rome in
2000. Although far from his home, he has infused Eleonora D’Arborea with
this quintessential Sardinian passion for food and hospitality. His goal is to
serve uncomplicated, classic Sardinian dishes using local ingredients and time-
honored recipes while welcoming his guests with a genuine regard for their
satisfaction and experience.
